Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – The Original Screenplay by J.K. Rowling is the second installment in the five-part Fantastic Beasts film series, set in the magical world decades before Harry Potter’s time.

The story picks up in 1927, just months after the events in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The powerful Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald escapes custody and begins rallying followers to his cause: elevating pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical beings. In response, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander to help thwart Grindelwald’s plans.
